Here is a review of the Fuji Special Road Racer (aka S10-S) from 1974 thanks to
GMS of
BikeForums.net. Some interesting points:
- They consider it a touring model despite the name.
- The price of $210 was fairly dear in that day, ~$1000 in 2007 dollars.
- There is quite a bit of discussion about the straight gauge tubing, which ostensibly doesn't seem to match the rest of the quality level of the bike. However, the reviewers, suprisingly, assert that a creditable bike can be constructed with this, something virtually no one would propose today.

I bought a Fuji s-10-s road racer second hand around 1974. It has been my reliable bike since then, if you can believe it.
